The La Marche model RHF2 series uses proven High Frequency charging technology and is developed specifically for the railroad market. It is typically used for signaling, highway crossing and motion detection systems where the battery is cycled frequently. This filtered unit is designed and built to charge VRLA, Flooded Lead Acid and Nickel Cadmium batteries. One of the features that make this product unique, is lightning protection. The RHF2 series is equipped with AAR style hardware on the input and output connections. Temperature compensated charging is standard to maximize the life of the battery. The unit is designed to achieve MTBF in excess of 100,000 hours1

A = (1.15 X Ah / H) + L
  • A = DC output rating of charges
  • 1.15 = Efficiency factor to return 100% of amp hours removed from a lead acid battery.
  • 1.4 = Efficiency factor to return 100% of amp hours removed from a NiCad battery.
  • Ah = Battery amp hours (Removed)
  • H = Hour recharge time
  • L = Amp continuous load on system while recharging the battery
